Details are gathered when a quote form, signup form or contact form is completed on this site. That usually includes a name, an email address, a phone number and the vehicle and driving information needed to review auto insurance cover and request quotes.

Technical details such as browser type, device type, referring page and general location are recorded automatically when the site is visited. That information is not tied to a name unless a form has been submitted.

How Information Is Used

Submitted details are used to prepare auto insurance quotes, answer questions about cover, support an active claim, help with requested policy changes and keep records of what has been agreed.

Information may also be used to improve the site, to understand which pages are useful and to keep the service secure against misuse.

Text Message Consent

Where you check the optional text message consent box at signup, DrivePicks may send automated marketing and promotional text messages to the phone number you provide about its consulting services, policy review invitations, and car insurance tips. These texts are for marketing and promotions only. Account, quote and policy updates are never sent by text.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not required to request a quote or purchase any product or service. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance. To prepare a quote, the details supplied may be passed to the licensed insurance carrier that would issue the policy, and to service providers who support document delivery and claim handling. Those parties may only use the information for the purpose it was shared for.

Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, where a legal claim needs defending or where fraud or misuse is suspected.

Data Retention

Records are kept for as long as an account or policy relationship is active, and afterwards for the period needed to meet insurance, tax and legal record keeping duties. Once that period ends, the records are deleted or made anonymous.

Security Measures

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards protect the information held, including encrypted connections and restricted access to stored records. No method of transmission over the internet can be promised as completely secure, so care should be taken with anything sent by email.

Your Choices and Rights

A copy of the information held can be requested, corrections can be made, marketing messages can be stopped and deletion can be asked for where no legal duty requires the records to be kept.

Children and Minors
